Vigil for Victims of the Drug War Marks Conflict’s 40th Year

Yesterday at 8:00pm a candlelight vigil was held on the sidewalk in front of the state house for victims of the war on drugs. June 17 marked the 40th Anniversary of Richard Nixon’s declaration of a “War on Drugs”. The NH Teapot Party brought out memorials which shared the stories of those caught in the crossfire. In addition to candles and chalking, there was also singing. Additional photos can be found here:
