A hearing for Bradley Manning had been scheduled for Friday, December 16, to take place at Fort Meade, Maryland. This particular hearing is to some extent open to the public, and there is a question to the level of secrecy that will be maintained during the heroic whistleblower’s military tribunal-style trial. The following day is Bradley Manning’s twenty-fourth birthday, and is shaping up to be a major weekend for international action.
December 16 also happens to be the date of a scheduled New Hampshire Supreme Court hearing on press freedoms and the right to possess cameras in courthouses. Expect coverage of both the national and state level judicial activities to appear here at Free Concord.
